Customer portal

Sign in to the Inspired Theme customer portal to see your plan, copy your License key, download the latest theme version, and manage billing.

The customer portal puts your plan, License keys, and theme downloads in one place. This article explains who can use it, how to sign in, and what each area of the portal does.

1. Who can use the portal

The portal is available to Pro and Max customers only.

  • You can sign in with the email address you used to buy a Pro or Max plan (monthly or one-time).

  • Essentials customers and trial keys don't have portal access. Your Essentials key is in your purchase email. See License key and plans.

  • If your plan has ended, you can still sign in to see its status and resubscribe.

2. Sign in

The portal uses a secure sign-in link sent by email. There's no password.

Steps:

  • Enter the email address you purchased with.

  • Click Email me a sign-in link.

  • Open the email and click the sign-in link. Open it on the same device you requested it from.

  • You're taken to your dashboard.

Note: For privacy, the portal shows the same "Check your email" message for every address. You only get an email if that address has a Pro or Max plan.

3. Your plan

The top card shows your plan (for example, Pro Monthly, Pro Lifetime, Max Monthly, or Max Lifetime) and its status.

Status badge
What you see

Active

Your renewal date, and a Manage billing button for monthly plans.

Lifetime access

"One-time purchase · no renewals", and a View receipts button.

Payment failed

Your latest renewal didn't go through. Click Update payment method.

Ending

Your subscription is cancelled. Click Resume in billing to resume it.

Ended / Theme locked

Your plan is no longer active. Use the button on the card to resubscribe or manage your license.

Pro customers also see a Compare Pro and Max link.

Questions about billing or cancellations? Contact support.

4. License key

The License key card shows each key on your account. If you have more than one, each key shows its theme, plan, and status.

For each key you see:

  • The key, with a Copy button.

  • Store: the store the key is activated on, or Not activated yet.

  • Last checked in: when your store last confirmed the key.

  • Theme version on store: the theme version installed on that store, when available.

  • How to activate this key: short steps for entering the key in Shopify. It opens automatically if the key isn't activated yet.

Steps to activate a key:

  • Click Copy next to your key.

  • In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

  • Click Customize on your theme.

  • Open Theme settings → License key, paste the key, and click Save.

5. Latest theme version

The Latest theme version card lets you download the newest version of your theme.

For each theme you see:

  • The theme name, version number, and release date.

  • Short release notes. Click Show more to read them in full.

  • Download .zip: downloads the theme file. This is the same file linked in your purchase email.

  • View demo: opens the theme's demo store in a new tab.

  • What's new: opens the release notes for the latest version.

To install a download, go to Online Store → Themes → Add theme → Upload zip file in Shopify. For the full update steps, see Updating to V9.0.

Note: Downloads appear only while your plan is active. If your plan has ended, this card tells you downloads return once your plan is active again.

6. Store setup

The Store setup service card links to our setup service. Click Request setup if you'd like our team to set up your store with your branding and pages.

After you submit a request, the card shows its progress: Submitted → In progress → Completed, with the date of the last update.

7. Billing, help, and signing out

  • Billing & invoices: click your name in the top-right corner, then Billing & invoices. This opens the billing portal (powered by Polar), where you can update your payment method and view invoices and receipts.

  • Help: click Help in the top bar, or scroll to Need help? at the bottom. You'll find Documentation, Changelog, FAQs, and Chat with us (or Contact us).

  • Sign out: click your name in the top-right corner, then Sign out.

8. Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the sign-in email.
  • Wait a few minutes, then check your spam or junk folder.

  • Make sure you entered the email address you purchased with.

  • Only Pro and Max purchase emails receive a link.

  • Still nothing? Click Use a different email and try again, or contact support.

"This portal is available to Pro and Max customers."

The email you signed in with doesn't have a Pro or Max plan. If you bought with a different email, click Sign out and sign in with that one. If you think this is a mistake, contact support.

"No active plan found" or "No license keys on this email yet."

You may have purchased with a different email. Sign out and sign in with that email, or contact support.

The Download .zip button is grayed out or shows an error.
  • "Download not available for this theme yet" means we haven't linked a file to your theme. Contact support.

  • "Your plan doesn't include this download right now" means your plan isn't active. Check the Your plan card.

  • "Please sign in again" means your session ended. Sign in again and retry.

My key shows "Not activated yet."

The key hasn't been entered in a theme yet. Follow How to activate this key in the License key card. After you save the key, the Store and Last checked in details update once your store checks in.
