# Follow on social media

Show a grid of your social images and video reels with a follow button, to build social proof and grow your Instagram or TikTok audience.

The **Follow on social media** section shows a grid of images and video reels from your social channels, with a heading and a follow button. Use it to build social proof and encourage customers to follow your brand on Instagram or TikTok.

### 1. Our guide to set up a Follow on social media section:

**Steps:**

* In the theme editor, click **Add section.**
* Locate **Follow on social media.**
* Click **Save.**

The section is added with four **Image** blocks. You can add **Image** and **Video reel** blocks, and reorder or remove them.

### 2. Section settings

* **Subheading:** A short line shown above the heading.
* **Heading:** The main title of the section.
* **Heading size:** 15–80px.
* **Space between blocks:** The gap between images, 0–100px.
* **Columns on desktop:** 3–6.
* **Button**
  * **Icon:** Instagram / TikTok. The icon shown on the follow button.
  * **Button label:** The text on the button, for example *Follow us on Instagram*. Leave it blank to hide the button.
  * **Button link:** Your social profile. The link opens in a new tab.
  * **Use outline button style:** Shows the button with an outline instead of a solid fill.
* **Mobile layout**
  * **Columns on mobile:** 1–3.
  * **Enable swipe on mobile:** Shows the items in a swipeable row on mobile.
* **Corner radius**
  * **Follow button:** Rounds the corners of the follow button, 0–40px.
* **Section padding**
  * **Top padding:** 0–100px.
  * **Bottom padding:** 0–100px.

### 3. Block settings

**Image block**

* **Image:** The image to show, such as a social post.
* **Link:** Optional. Makes the image clickable, for example to the post on Instagram.

**Video reel block**

Shows a video as a round, muted preview that plays on a loop. When a customer clicks it, the video opens in a pop-up with sound.

* **Video:** A video uploaded to your Shopify files. The block is hidden until you add a video.

### 4. Footer block

You can also show a small Instagram gallery in your footer with the **Follow on Instagram** block. In the theme editor, open the **Footer** section, click **Add block** and choose **Follow on Instagram**. See [Footer settings](/articles/footer/footer-settings.md).

* **Width:** The width of the block in the footer on desktop, 10–100%. On mobile, footer blocks are always full width.
* **Heading:** The block's title.
* **Desktop content alignment:** Left / Center.
* **Profile**
  * **Instagram handle:** Your handle, for example `@yourstore`, shown under the images.
  * **Profile link:** Your Instagram profile. Makes the handle clickable, and is used for any image without its own link.
  * **Show Instagram icon next to handle:** Adds the Instagram icon before the handle.
* **Images**
  * **Images to show:** 2 / 3 / 4.
  * **Image shape:** Square / Portrait.
  * **Corner radius:** 0–40px.
* **Image 1** to **Image 4**
  * **Image** and **Image link:** Each image and an optional link to its post.

### 5. Tips

* Mix **Image** and **Video reel** blocks to make the section feel lively.
* Link each image to its original post so customers can like and comment.
* Match **Columns on desktop** to the number of blocks so the grid fills a full row.
