Shoppable video reels

Show short vertical videos, each linked to a product. Use it to help shoppers discover products through video.

The Shoppable video reels section shows a row of short vertical videos. Each video can have a caption on it and a product card below it, so shoppers can go straight from the video to the product.

This section is for any page. To add video reels to a product page, use the Video reels block in the Product information section instead.

1. Our guide to set up a Shoppable video reels section:

Steps:

  • In the theme editor, click Add section.

  • Locate Shoppable video reels.

  • Click Save.

The section is added with three Video reel blocks.

2. Section settings

  • Heading: The title above the videos. Leave it blank to hide it.

  • Heading size: 15–80px.

  • Heading alignment: Left / Center.

  • Columns on desktop: How many videos appear per row on desktop, 2–4.

  • Corner radius

    • Video card: Rounds the videos and their product cards, 0–40px.

  • Section padding

    • Top padding and Bottom padding: 0–100px.

3. Video reel block settings

Each block is one video.

  • Video: A video uploaded to Shopify. A 9:16 (vertical) video is recommended.

  • Video thumbnail: The image shown before the video plays. If you leave it empty, the video's own preview image is used.

  • Video focal point: The part of the video that stays visible when it's cropped: Top Left / Top Center / Top Right / Middle left / Middle center / Middle right / Bottom Left / Bottom Center / Bottom Right.

  • Video overlay opacity: Darkens the video so the label is easier to read, 0–100%.

  • Label: A short caption shown on the video.

  • Product: The product linked to the video. Its image, title and price are shown in a card below the video.

  • Color

    • Text: The color of the label.

4. Tips

  • Videos play without sound. Shoppers can tap the speaker icon to turn sound on.

  • Keep each video short and vertical so it fills the card without heavy cropping.

  • If an important part of the video gets cut off, change Video focal point.
