# Social media

In the Theme settings, you can add your social account links to display social icons on your site.

Add links to your social media accounts once in **Theme settings**, and the theme shows the matching icons wherever social icons are turned on.

### 1. Add your social accounts

**Steps:**

* In the theme editor, click **Theme settings.**
* Open **Social media.**
* Enter the full URL of each account you want to show, for example `https://www.instagram.com/byinspiredtheme/`.
* Click **Save.**

### 2. Supported accounts

* **X (Twitter)**, for example `https://x.com/shopify`
* **Facebook**, for example `https://facebook.com/shopify`
* **Pinterest**, for example `https://pinterest.com/shopify`
* **Instagram**, for example `http://instagram.com/shopify`
* **TikTok**, for example `https://tiktok.com/@shopify`
* **Threads**, for example `https://threads.com/@shopify`
* **Tumblr**, for example `https://shopify.tumblr.com`
* **Snapchat**, for example `https://www.snapchat.com/add/shopify`
* **YouTube**, for example `https://www.youtube.com/shopify`
* **Vimeo**, for example `https://vimeo.com/shopify`

Leave a field empty to hide that icon.

### 3. Where the icons appear

Turn on **Show social media icons** in any of these places:

* The [Header](/articles/header/header.md) section.
* The **Toolbar** section.
* The [Footer](/articles/footer/footer-settings.md) section settings, and the **Text and image** and **Icons** footer blocks. See [Footer blocks](/articles/footer/footer-blocks.md).

### 4. Tips

* Paste the full link, starting with `https://`, copied from your profile page.
* The footer **Icons** block can also show up to four custom icons with your own images and links, for platforms not listed above.
